Upgrade Craft

Craft is one of the most user-friendly Content Management Systems (CMS) around and it puts managing your content first. With Craft, you model the CMS around your content rather than trying to work within the confines of what is possible with the CMS.

Craft has been in existence since 2013 and is now up to version 4. It features one-click updating from within the control panel, and mostly that works fine when doing minor point upgrades, e.g. from 3.1 to 3.2, but sometimes there are more significant changes and sometimes the upgrade doesn't go as smoothly. If you find yourself in that situation, that's where we come in.

Pre-upgrade information we need

When booking your CMS upgrade, there are a few pieces of essential information that we'll need. The information below assumes that you have a login for your site's control panel that gives you full access to all of its sections.

You might have a login that only has restricted access in which case, you might not see all of what's discussed below. If you can't locate the pages about your site's plugins, please mention that when submitting your booking.

Version

Finding your Craft version number is easy as it's written at the bottom of every page in your site admin dashboard, e.g.

You can also find it by clicking on the Utilities menu item in the left column of the dashboard. System Report should be selected by default, but if it isn't select it, and then you'll see the Craft version listed under Application Info.

Plugins

While on the System Report page, if you scroll a bit further down, you'll come to the Plugins section. Please copy the list of plugins and their version numbers and send it to us. Alternatively, you can screenshot the whole System Report page and send that instead.
